The Gillsen TacCore S sits at the top of the range and has been designed for shooters looking for high-quality electronic hearing protection without compromising on comfort or gun fit. The electronic system allows normal surrounding sound and conversation to remain audible while providing sound-activated compression when exposed to the sharp impulse noise produced by gunfire.

As a gun shop and shooting ground, we see hearing protection being used on the shooting grounds every day. We also speak to shooters ranging from complete beginners buying their first pair of ear defenders through to experienced clay, game and rifle shooters who know exactly what they want from their equipment. When we began looking at Gillsen, we wanted a range that made sense not only for the customer, but for the dealer as well. It was important to us that retailers had enough margin to make a healthy profit while still offering the customer good value for money. That balance is one of the key reasons Gillsen worked for us. There needed to be an affordable entry-level option, a comfortable step up for shooters wanting better passive protection, and a more advanced electronic option for customers looking for something considerably more capable. The result is a compact three-product range that is straightforward for customers to understand and equally straightforward for dealers to sell. We do have plans to expand the range including new finishes and colours, but we need to start somewhere.
We sell shooting equipment every day. We operate a busy shooting ground. We teach new shooters. We work with experienced game and competition shots, and through The Shooting Channel we speak to shooters throughout the UK and further afield.
That means we can look at a product from both sides of the counter.
And we understand that a product needs to represent good value for the customer while also making commercial sense for the dealer selling it.
Those principles have been central to our decision to bring Gillsen into the UK.
